So it’s been over a week since I’ve posted and so much has happened! I wound up staying at the hostel again to give Karalee’s family a break from hosting, but left a bunch of my things at her house (including my laptop). So this will be a quick and awesome game of catch-up of all of the stuff I’ve done since I last posted!

Ah where to start! So the week I stayed with Karalee, we had a blast hanging out with her family. We went to a ton of beaches, surfed, went downtown, hung out with some hostel peeps. On the days that Karalee worked, she would just drop me off at the hostel so it worked out perfectly! She had the whole long weekend off for MLK day, so it gave us the chance to sleep in and be stress free!

This past week I stayed at the hostel again and had the chance to meet tons of new people and do tons of stuff. I hiked the Lanikai pillbox (an old military infantry post), once in the heat of the day and once for a beautiful sunrise; I went on a boat tour (again) where I snorkeled and paddle boarded; we went to a brewery, had a beach party, and had a blast doing all of it. It was so awesome to have the chance to go back to the hostel again- the people are so incredible and it’s such a blast to constantly be in a state of extroversion.

This weekend I stayed with Karalee while she house sat in Ewa beach. We did so much in a short amount of time. Saturday morning we hiked to the pink pill box in Maili, went to Yokes beach to check out the waves, then went back to the house and made dinner and watched a movie before bed. Sunday we started the morning out with going to white plains beach to surf, got poke for lunch, then went to Makaha beach to watch the waves and the sunset. We came back to make a delicious dinner and margaritas before watching another movie and crashing.

So I know that’s really just a taste of all the stuff I’ve been up to for the last three weeks, but fear not! I’ll be compiling a long list of all the activities I’ve done on the island and an even longer list of things I didn’t get the chance to do!

I’m so grateful to have had such an amazing three weeks on this island, and I’m event more excited to continue my adventure for the next month on Mouna Farm Arts and Cultural Village in Waianae!! I’ll be posting about the farm as soon as I get there and learn more about it!

Stay curious and happy travels!
