Day 9: Zion National Park

Ahhh today was lovely. It started with me sleeping in while the rest of the group did the river walk to the narrows. I got a new campsite for the group and moved all our stuff over. I spent the morning reading which was really nice, then the group came back and we had a big pasta salad lunch. After lunch we lounged as the sun ascended over our campsite, making it a million degrees. Once everyone was ready we headed to the river to cool off which was soooooo so nice. Afterwords we continued to lounge then made another big hearty meal for dinner- sausage for the meat eaters, some delicious roasted veggies, and chili. We also met some awesome dudes that were driving around the country in a bright yellow ‘77 VW van and had some beers and s’mores around the fire with them.

The day was a freaking blast and a really good chance to unwind. I’m really glad we got to meet some people our age and hang out, hopefully there will be more to come!!
