Last day in San Pedro ahh!!! It’s Nicks birthday and we had a good, exhausting day. The group started with a sunrise then had a lovely breakfast on the back deck, toasting to Nick and 23 years! When we packed up and got ready for the day we headed to REI to get the last things for our trip (I’ll post a list of what stuff I got to complete my list).

After REI we drove to Santa Monica pier for the day. We drove through Venice beach, which looked tooootally groovy, then were graced by some serious birthday luck when we got a parking spot in a lot right next to the beach!! We walked to 800 Neopolitan pizza (which was soooo yummy) for a birthday lunch then headed to the beach!

The beach was suuuuper cool- there were people playing beach volleyball on courts at the back end of the beach near the road then about 500 Howard’s of sand to the actual beach. We lounged in the sun, swam in the seaweed infested ocean, ate some chilé covered mango, then met up with one of Toasty’s friends before heading home!

The drive back to San Pedro was exhausting with traffic, but we made it to Costco and back in time to grab some quick sushi for dinner before heading to the Korean Friendship bell for the sunset. It was a little cloudy and chilly but it was a great end to our time in the LA area!

Stay curious and happy travels!
