Today we had a slow morning- Jenny, our fifth companion, left early to drive back cross country to head home so we said our goodbyes during the sunrise. Carlos left early to hike devil’s garden so we cleaned up and made a big breakfast before getting on the road.

We drove the 4 hours to get to Page, Arizona where Antelope canyon is and we’re very confused by the time change. Arizona doesn’t follow daylight savings so they’re an hour behind the rest of the pacific time zone, which made getting our bearings a little tricky.

When it was time to check in to our tour we headed over and loaded into an open backed truck. The drive to the canyon was bumpy and totally fun. Once we got there, our guide, Leonard, showed us through the beautiful canyon. Unfortunately it was really dark in the canyon, but it was still a really cool experience. Leonard was the sweetest man and told us how he played the flute and showed us videos. Once we got back to the truck he pulled his 3-part flute out and played it for us- it was so cool!!

The rest of the evening hit me like a freaking wall; we had dinner and I fell asleep at the table at 8:30. We had a pretty easy day but man I was wiped.

Stay curious and happy travels!
